Impression of your brand.

✅ Are you making a good impression?

Your website is the first thing that your customers or clients will see. What sort of impression does your website give off? Is it portraying the right brand image? Is it inviting people into your business? Does it encourage people to buy your products in the right way? If you can't answer yes to all of those questions, I guarantee that you are losing money from your website. How many people have visited your website and chosen not to even consider using your service, or buying your products?

Whether they realise it or not, any potential customers or clients that are viewing your website are using it to judge you. They will use it to make a decision on whether or not to come to you, or to pick up the phone. Leaving a great impression on your website will ensure that when anyone stumbles across your site, you have the best chance to secure their business.

.

It will bring you business.

If you have an amazing website, it will bring you business. You can bring in business completely organically through great SEO. That means when anybody searches for what your business is doing, your website is there. Some companies spend tens of thousands a month on paid advertisements, but they don't invest any money into Search engine optimisation (SEO.) SEO is a longer-term investment as it will take time to pay off, but when it does you're at the top of search results, for everyone that searches, at absolutely no cost. If you're not investing in SEO, you're not investing in the long term future of your business. In some local markets, this can be extremely short term too. If your competitors are making the same mistake, this is the time to act. If you think that search engines are important now, how important do you think they will be in 5 years’ time? Do you really think that fewer people are going to be searching online for your services, or more?

Don't scare customers away.

I wanted to write a separate point about this because the number of websites that do it is quite scary.

I've been searching for a local solicitor, and not a single one of them has a good website. Offers an extremely important service, which needs attention to detail and the utmost professionalism, but its website screams the opposite. I wonder how many potential clients have thought exactly the same and chosen solicitors from out of town, who put some attention into their website and first impression. A website that tells the customer, you can trust us, we are professionals. None of the local websites did. They screamed we are stuck in the past and we don't care about details. Not exactly great qualities for solicitors, but this is the brand they are putting on a show to every potential client.
